European Christmas market recommendations please

Has anyone been to a lovely big market with other things (landmarks, museums etc.) nearby? This is something I've never done but always wanted to, a couple of friends are up for it so I'm going to do some research over the weekend.

Bath was lovely. Liked the fact that it was all British stalls which is very different to others I’ve been to

Nuremberg is suppose to be the best in Germany and I’d be most tempted to go there for full traditional 😄

Uk I’d have to go for Edinburgh, I really like Edinburgh too and haven’t been in years!

Another vote for Vienna - they have a few around the city but the one on front of the Town Hall is the best so that is my favourite. Cologne in front of the cathedral is nice but I didn't like the rest of the city, Salzburg was pretty but busy and Hamburg proved a nice surprise.

I found Edinburgh market OK just very busy. Had a very bad experience with an older lady in M&S Princes Street who wouldn't let me use the mother and baby toilets as it was HER turn (no kids in tow either) when I was the one with a toddler and baby and the staff just stood and watched ("not our problem") - wish I had taken her photo with my phone and shamed. Her excuse was I have waited in the Q and you aren't getting in - I was truly appalled at her attitude and she gave a really bad impression of local people but thankfully everyone else waiting turned on her and blasted her for doing so.
