Breakfast looks fab. And I love the idea of miso sriracha mayo!

Day 1: Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory
This morning I spent a couple of hours at Disney Springs before hopping over to POFQ for a look around and to collect MNSSHP tickets. I had decided in advance that I wanted to eat at the Sassagoula Floatworks rather than at the POR eateries.
There were a lot of things I would have liked but in the end I selected the chicken voodoo sandwich which is served on a brioche bun with thick cut chips and sauce on the side. I had my refillable mug with me for my drink. This was a very satisfying lunch, I do love a brioche bun and the chicken breast itself was plump as it should be. The menu mentions a cheese, mushroom and onion topping, but I did not detect any mushroom, just the cheese and onion. It was nice to get thick cut chips instead of fries and these tasted freshly cooked with a soft inside and crisp outside. The little dip on the side was nice and spicy. A good lunch. No more food updates for day one, I mistakenly thought I would eat at MK but most places were shut by the time I was ready and the only place I saw open had a queue to rival the FoP queue. My dinner was a breakfast cereal bar and cup of tea in the room. I also picked up breakfast for the next day (now today) whilst I was there. I am currently wrestling with the fruit tray as it won’t open. Edited at 12:26 PM. |

That lunch looks lovely.
Shame about nowhere in MK being open though. Hope you've managed to get into your fruit Xx

Day 2: Gasparilla Grill lunch
Despite my supposed leisurely start to this trip yesterday, I reached over 25,000 steps and acquired not just blisters, but blood blisters on both feet. Accordingly I thought that monorail resort hopping might be best today and that is why I ended up at Gasparilla Grill at the Grand Floridian for lunch today.
I am always pleased to see a grilled ham and cheese on a menu, so nothing else was really in the running today. Once again I used my refillable mug for my accompanying beverage. I had been a bit disappointed that I wouldn’t be able to have this meal at Beaches & Cream this trip, due to its refurbishment. The Gasparilla Grill version made up for that and moreso. The soup was delicious, hot, thick and with lovely bits of tomato in it, actually very similar to the Beaches & Cream version. But the grilled cheese was definitely a step above the very nice B&C version, more generous with the cheese and the brioche bread toast really made it a winner with me. |

Poor you, blisters are so painful. I suffer with them some trips too 😢 I do find Go Walks comfortable though and less likely to cause blisters.
The sandwich and soup looks delicious. Simple food tastes so good when it’s cooked well 😀 |
