All I keep getting from one of mine is that they went on whilst the other says they were meh. I’m finding it far more stressful as a parent than I thought I would!
They are distressing in the garden and then we are going to cram quotes for English lit tomorrow.

my eldest has just done hhis 1st GSCE today, Biology. and he went out the door dancing! he says he has revised, i have asked and checked and i know he has, but how much i cannot be 100%.
he came out and sed it went ok, he was happy with the amount he recalled!

I know i was 50x more nervous then he was. I have been playing it cool, 'GSCEs don't matter that much' and you can do what you do' and 'as long as you do your best' but like another poster he has had his life planned for some years and he really wants to stay at his school to do A levels and then go onto Uni. he is intelligent, but he really has to work at his paperwork, getting the information down doesn't come naturally (he has Dyslexia) if only he could explain verbally!

I am so relieved we have one down - roll on the 1h June when they are all done... gonna be a nervous wreck by then!

I am worried my son keeps saying they went well. I just don’t want him to be disappointed with the results. I would rather he be a bit more reserved but we will see long time until August!

DS said Biology was good. A lot of what he revised recently came up so that was lucky I guess!
I’m wondering if those of you who have children saying the French was hard, were doing the foundation paper? DS did the higher but said some of his friends that did foundation were saying it was really hard.

I’m not sure which one it was but it’s an IGCSE on the Edexcel exam board. Dd is so pleased she never has to do French ever again! 😂

D’oh! I didn’t even consider different exam boards! 🤦🏻 DS had AQA. He still has French writing on Friday but then that’s a subject all finished with.

First written exam for DD today too (Biology). She said she thought it went ok, but she knows biology is the science she did worse in when she had her 2 sets of mocks. So who knows. Now doing some last minute reflection / revision for English literature tomorrow.

This week only 3 exams for her, but next week 6 in 3 days.

It’s going to be a long month.

DS's first exam this afternoon, English literature, then afterwards they're all being taken out by the school to The British Racing Club hospitality for refreshments, to share stories and 'fun' awards, then be given their leavers hoodies.

I've just promised him a McDonald's breakfast, he was laying there looking like a rabbit in headlights, figured it may relieve some stress and get him to actually eat!

Well my daughter came out of RS exam on Monday and was sobbing as it went badly

She came out of Biology and thought she had done ok, then spoke to her friends and she realised that maybe she hadn’t done quite as well, so more sobbing

Now she had been up most of the night as she is really fearful of the English Lit exam

I feel quite sick for her, her anxiety is too much

Roll on 14th June
