GCSE parents?

So the verdict so far this week from DD is:
Spanish ok. English language paper 1 ok. Geography paper 2 was ‘evil’ and maths higher paper 2 was better than the 1st but still hard.

Maths is always a tricky one for DD, but she’s normally pretty good with geography and never had below a 7 in mocks, but she said she found paper 2 hard this time.

This time next week it will almost be over and DD can’t wait.

So did mine! She preferred Paper 1 which she usually finds the hardest. She was hoping to get a 5 overall but I’ll be happy if she just passes with a 4. Maths is her worst subject 😬

Three weeks down, one to go! DS had a nightmare with his calculator yesterday, he had to ask for help resetting it, but was given one to borrow. Thankfully he didn’t panic too much!

Two today for both of mine

Dd finishes next Friday so one week for her, but ds is the following week. Can't come soon enough!

Fingers crossed today for everyone for a nice English Language and Biology paper!

DS was reasonably happy with Maths yesterday but said that the history paper in the afternoon was a bit more tricky. He was happy with the questions on the Cold War but said the Elizabethan questions were a bit vague, especially one about one of the issues facing one of the first American colonies. I had to bite my tongue about that as my degree was in American History and he refused my suggestion of help for that, saying he didn't think it was likely to come up. Never mind, what will be will be. All of his friends were saying the same as him about it. Hoping that English Language and Biology are ok today!

My 2 seem pretty pleased with English lang and biology today. They have 4 left next week, maths, chemistry, geography and physics. Can't believe that this time next week they will be finished.

My DS was very happy with both papers today. Ranked them both as 8/10. He was particularly happy with the creative writing in English. Other than 1 topic that was a bit ropey in Biology, he was pleased with that too. 👍🏻 7 more to go for him. Maths, Chemistry, Geography, Physics and 3 German exams. 🤞🏻
