To HHN or not to HHN?

I really don't know wether to include a night at HHN on our upcoming trip or not, never done it and not sure if its my thing.

Part of me is thinking not to bother squeezing it in and part of me thinks do it while we can without children.

I know lots of people love it and rave about it but is there anyone who's been and not liked it?

My wife was genuinely scared by it all, so we can’t ever go back haha. It’s a really well-done event but we did not expect for my wife to react the way she did. She’s a huge horror film fan, but when it came to being in the environment she couldn’t stand it. I, quite selfishly, thought it was great!

I’d always say to go to it if you can, it’s an opportunity to try something new in a familiar place and if you don’t get on with it, at least you tried.

We are in a similar position to you and didn’t know if to try it, but we have no kids at the moment and are staying onsite at Universal. One thing we wanted to do last year was go on RRR in the dark and we never could as Studios always closed before it went dark! So we’ve decided to go to HHN this year been as we’re there over the dates. 😊 we have a two night ticket so hopefully we like it haha!

We love it but do keep in mind that there is a LOT of strobe lighting used throughout the houses. I feel this is something that should be advertised when buying tickets. Perhaps it is and I just missed it...

We have been once before and are returning this year. It is absolutely amazing in my opinion, and I would 100% recommend giving it a go! The first night we found it super scary lol, but also funny - there were grown men being chased around, so you got a good laugh. It would seem the more scared you look, the more the scare actors will approach you

After going a few times the 'scares' definitely wore off somewhat and it was more enjoyable, so bare that in mind Also, if you do find it's really not your thing you can always enjoy the rides or go into Diagon Alley (where there are no scare actors). Diagon Alley in the dark is amazing too!

Aah! We only booked a few weeks ago but booked a TC package. First time flying from MAN. Can't wait - not used to such a short countdown! Haha
