Dinner was one of our few OOP places - T-Rex as Marie loves the bruschetta. We couldn't decide on an appetiser so went with the sampler which has tortilla chips, bruschetta, onion rings and a quesadilla. The quesadilla was lovely and in hindsight that would have done but we felt we couldn't just order a starter. Marie ordered the bronto burger which she didn't rate. There was an overwhelming taste of charcoal and it was quite dry. It wasn't a patch on the one I'd at Goods to Go a couple of nights before. I got the chicken fried steak which was very disappointing. The coating was overwhelming and the steak (what there was of it) was grey. It didn't help that we were too full up from the starter but we really didn't enjoy our entrees here. I love the theming here but I don't think we'll be back.

Day three was my 40th birthday and we had loads planned. Breakfast was some cereal in the room and we planned to fit a snack in at some point. We headed to Epcot for EMH in the hope of getting a ride in before we had to check in for the Segway tour. We managed spaceship earth then decided to head to Soarin', get a fastpass and have something to eat at Sunshine Seasons as we only had half an hour. We decided to pay OOP for a couple of muffins - banana nut and blueberry. Marie really enjoyed the banana nut. I had the blueberry which was nice and moist but the blueberrys were all at the bottom. We shared an orange juice.

Lunch for my birthday was at Le Cellier, my favourite restaurant in Disney. With dinner being 2 credits now we opted for 2 lunches instead! We both got the filet mignon with wild mushroom risotto. As usual it was superb although a little salty. I came to the conclusion it was the risotto and it seemed to just be a small part. Dessert was the maple creme brûlée for both of us. Again lovely but it does remind me of butterscotch Angel Delight (which I love!). I must also mention the pretzel breadsticks here which are gorgeous. If you want you can just have pretzel breadsticks instead of the mixture they normally give you.

I forgot to comment on the Happy Birthday on my dessert plate. How great is that!

Dinner for my birthday was Liberty Tree Tavern, another favourite which never disappoints! Unfortunately because we'd had a big lunch we struggled a little but it was fabulous as usual. It's a family style set menu with salad to start. The salad has a lovely strawberry vinaigrette dressing. The main is a selection of roast meats - beef, turkey and pork with mashed potatoes, stuffing, veg and macaroni cheese (?). I can't remember what dessert was but it was nice, a kind of fruit sponge with ice cream. It's nice just to have a roast dinner once in a while.

Sorry I'd started to eat before I remembered to take the photo.

Not really a meal but I had to share our MNSSHP swag! It was the first time we went and although I'm not a huge Halloween fan I loved it. We made it our aim to get to every candy post!

Day four was DHS and I was a bit rubbish at taking food photos that day. Breakfast was Fairfx fare where we both had the egg and cheese English muffin with sausage and a coffee. It was just ok and a bit of a waste of a CS credit but we knew we'd have some to spare.

Lunch was Backlot Express. I had the burger and Marie the hot dog. No photos again unfortunately which is a shame because this was the best burger I had on holiday. Definitely will have lunch here again.

After reports on here we were determined to go to Writer's Stop for a snack! I had the carrot cake cookie which was nice but a bit too sweet and Marie had the chocolate Danish pastry which again was nice but too much!

Dinner that night was Nine Dragons. It doesn't get great reviews on here and when we'd been before it was just ok but we decided to give it another go. I'm so glad we did as I really enjoyed my meal. I had the sweet and sour pork which came with spinach noodles and Marie had the Kung Pao chicken with rice. This is the point where my note-making stopped being so thorough so I can't really remember too many details. Mine was lovely and I just wished I could've eaten more! The noodles were more pasta like than the noodles I'm used to but the sweet and sour pork was cripsy and it worked really well. Marie enjoyed the Kung Pao but I think she preferred mine! We didn't bother with dessert as we had a plan!

Our "plan" was to use snack credits to get eclairs from the patisserie in France which were gorgeous! I just remembered these eclairs were actually from Starring Rolls in DHS. We got them as we were leaving the park to have for later. We had eclairs from France later in the holiday.

It was character the first time we went but I loved the food so much it's always on our list - even when we don't do DDP!
