Best Cabin Location For Seasickness

Convinced the other half to go on a Disney cruise after 9 years for trying, but they're really worried about seasickness.

Any advice on what stateroom would be best?
Inside, Oceanview, Veranda? Aft, Mid, Forward?, Does Deck level come into play?

Thanks for any advice.

Low down in the middle I was told. Theory being it's like sitting in the middle of a see saw instead of at the end.

I would go for a porthole or balcony as well.

Midship, and lower down is best. Guest services usually give out sea sick tablets for free too.

Medical centre has free tablets outside their door (deck 1).

If they've never been on a cruise before, I would suggest their fears may be proved to be inconsequential. Most people do not suffer at all as the ships have stabilisers, duck tails and all kinds of high tech stuff to stop the rolling etc.

Being on a ferry, in a car or getting motion sickness is very different to cruising.

As others have said though - low down and mid ships is best, but some swear by a veranda so on DCL that would be deck 5 (lowest with veranda).

Sorry to resurrect this thread but just approaching Southampton after 2 eventful crossings of the Bay of Biscay in force 9 and 10 gales. We are midship and the rolling of the ship was pretty bad but didn’t feel too much pitching. Just spoke to some people who were at the front and they couldn’t sleep for 2 nights because of the loud bang each time the front of the ship crashed back down into the waves.
