We are the Millers - Let's do Halloween! Sept/Oct 2019. Day 9

We woke at 8am this morning & spent a bit of time packing as today was our last full day. We took Edith swimming one last time which she loved and then we got ready and headed over to Wal-Mart.

The weather was forecast to be very wet so we grabbed some ponchos and other bits. Animal Kingdom was our first park of the day & we parked up and head in donning our ponchos. We had a FP for Navi so rode that first before seeing the Festival of the Lion King and then heading over for our final safari ride of the trip.

We did have a FP for Everest but it was cancelled because of the rain so we head out of the park. We had a think about what we fancied for dinner and as we were headed over to Epcot to try & catch the new fireworks we made a booking at ESPN.

We parked up at EPCOT & made our way over to the Boardwalk. We were seated right away at ESPN & had a lovely meal. The food here has impressed us on both our last 2 trips. Laura and I had a fried chicken burger, Aaron had the Smokehouse burger and Edith had nuggets and mac and cheese.

Once we were paid up, we head into the park and found a fabulous spot for the fireworks in Germany. We set up base and waited for them to start. We waited some more and then at 9.15pm, an announcement came on that due to technical difficulties, the fireworks would be delayed. Bummer. We waited until gone half past & then decided to make our way around WS and hope they would start soon. We popped into Mexico and rode the 3 Caballeros ride twice as there wasn’t a queue. Edith loves this & im so glad we managed to ride. It was near 10pm now so we decided to cut our losses and head out. I was a bit gutted to be honest, 4 days running I had wanted to watch the fireworks & for one reason or another it just hadn’t played out for us. On the way out of the park we watched a bit of the Epcot improvement show & got a couple of Photopasses which was lovely.

We were back in the hotel and in bed by 11pm.
