Blue Springs Manatee

We have consistently seen manatees at Merritt Island, regardless of the time of year. I don't think there has ever been anyone else on the platform with us either.

We've seent hem as far south as the Keys in January and at Merritt Island in August.

These places have a few manatees, not the hundreds you will find at peak times but they are animals who will interact with you.

Blue Springs staff have counted up to 525 manatees today - amazing. Don't forget if you do want to visit try to go early morning before the manatees head out of the spring to feed.

Blue Springs SP broke their Manatee record yesterday between the SP staff and the amazing Wayne and Cora they spotted 624 manatees yesterday.

Must have been wall to wall manatees
