Before DH & I got married he bought me an ironing board &
sewing kit !
My mum was like ‘ you sure you want to marry him ‘ ! 😂
Then one year my gran gave me a pair of slippers that were let’s just say more suited to her age than mine.
They were from M&S so I took them back only for them to say they hadn’t sold them in about 5 years ! I was mortified but when I explained to the lady they were a gift from my gran she thought it was hilarious 😆

Ceramic ducks for peaking over the kitchen cabinets, I reckon I was about 26 when DH bought me these.

My nana once bought me an old lady nightie size 20-22 when I was a teenager. To add insult to it, she also argued with me when I said I was a size 12 and that it would be too big for me.

A good few years ago my sil said to me a few weeks before Christmas that she had gotten me something that was ‘just you’. I thought to myself, great! Some lovely bath stuff , that’s right up my street.
On Christmas Day she gave me this box. Oh my god... it was a red fleecy blanket ( the very flammable fleece) with sleeves. My dh was a picture trying to hold in his laugh. He knew what it was and I had seen an advert for them in the weeks up to Christmas and had commented on who on earth would give this as a gift.
After a few hum dinger years of gifts I suggested we only give to the kids and stop the adults
