I didn’t know you needed a special diet when going thro the menopause, maybe thats where I’m going wrong!

A photo frame, my friend got me practically two identical photo frames for my birthday and Xmas. I guess it was my worst as I always put so much thought into her gifts and you could see that none had gone into mine.

A cracked plate (from a charity shop) wrapped in newspaper for my birthday from my MIL once. I kid you not.
It had birds on it and she said I know you like birds - she is thoughtful like that. |

My MIL gave me a gift box that she had taken the bath cubes out to give to her friend, she said "I know you don't take a bath, you prefer the shower so don't need them'.

One year hubby and I did the 'no presents' pact. Of course we knew we wouldn't fully follow it. So I got hubby a bottle of aftershave and he got me a Viz book about flatulence... Now I flipping love Viz, many happy hours spent with hubby laughing over it. But if your only Christmas present that year is a book about farts then life has taken an unfortunate turn...….He did redeem himself as soon as the shops opened on boxing day...

In the early 80’s and ”moonboots” (massive hideous winter boots ) was all the rage in Sweden where I grew up. I desperately wanted a pair. My dad got me cheaper copies in an awful mint colour - I remember feeling so disappointed. I told him I loved them ...

One year my OHs dad gave me a life size owl statue because I collected paperweights (the round Caithness glass ones! ) ... no I don’t get the link either
