Buying jewellery in Florida

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of buying jewellery in Florida, want to buy DW an eternity ring but not sure if it would be cheaper in the US. I know i would have to pay duty on it when we arrive back home. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yes, I have bought many pieces of jewellery in USA, if you look at Zales outlet or Kays outlets to get an idea of styles and prices: Also look in the big department stores such as JC Penney or Macy's or Sears as they all sell nice jewellery.

A lot of the gold jewellery in the US is 14 carat so you need to consider what carat gold the ring(s) which will sit next to the new ring are. If you sit a 14ct ring next to 9ct, the 14ct one will wear as it's softer than the 9ct and similarly, if you sit it next to an 18ct ring, the 14ct one will wear. If the new ring won't be worn that often it might not make too much difference, but something to be aware of nevertheless.

Depends on the budget too but I’ve found Tiffany’s to be cheaper in the states than the UK

We got my engagement ring in Florida, paid $3000 and got it valued when we got home. It was valued at £4400 here!
