Never seen such restricted availability

This was already an issue with everyone rebooking. I thought OK, I should still be able to borrow as a last resort to get the easier to get 2 beds.

Then came the e-mail about extending members pts by 6 months and the 50% pts borrowing restriction.

Absolutely no chance now. 11 months studio at CC is the only hope but that seems very unlikely and also ruins our plans for a larger family trip.

I just hope the borrowing restrictions soon end and we can try for the bigger units.

We’ve still got a 2020 booking which we are expecting to cancel and bank but will be happy just to go to WDW so not fussed on location tbh...
we have a concierge booking in London in November which we won’t cancel as hoping it will be ok by then for a uk stay anyway! It’s a bit extravagant but the hotel is really v nice and the breakfast is to die for!

There was actually pretty decent availability in 1 beds for my dates 17-24 December in the end- 1 beds only though, never checked studios.

Got 1 bed standard view Boardwalk but loads of options, which left me pleasantly surprised.

I wonder if people are punting cancelled reservations now well into 2021 as reality hits home? I already had my Xmas trip booked and would not have booked now if had not already had the flights as I am 50/50 it will come off.

Suspect we will see an incredibly busy fall 2021 season if we can all go then.

I have never 'walked' a reservation before as i've been against it, but think I might have to consider doing this to get something at CC for May.

Not sure when is best to start walking it though.

Are you after a studio and booking at 11 months? If yes, you will likely be fine on 11 but I would book it a week (actually 6 days) before actual dates- then you will only have to amend it once.

We got a week in a studio at CC for april 13th to 20th no problem at 11 months! Both types of studios were available!

I am walking a boardwalk standard for May now, seems lots are as availability is patchy at 11 months for both standard and BW view.

Think I will have to Walk for next October at some stage too, annoying.

I'm going to keep checking and jump in as soon as i see a full 7 day studio ready to walk it. Then if the 50% borrowing restrictions end may change to a 2 bed, although looking like the elderly relatives are not wanting to go next year now as worried about insurance
