Departure airport change by airline?

Not Orlando related but thought Tom or other experts here can help please?

Had my direct VA flights from Manchester to Las Vegas changed to Heathrow to Las Vegas. Both ways. No mention of how to get to Heathrow from Warrington.
Flights in August so possibly might not go ahead anyway however can I ask for refund due to change if they can�t put us on indirect from Manchester as at the moment flight still going from LHR?

Yes, your contract was from MAN to LAS so message/call them and tell them you're not happy and you would like to depart from Manchester and connect to Vegas where possible or you are within your rights to request a full refund and try and sort something yourself.

Thanks for that. Been on hold for a while now to try and sort. We�ve gone through options as we wait and now thinking of cancelling as still not sure on what the areas will be like due to COVID.🤔🤔

Don't blame you, we were booked for LAS on 21st June from MAN and decided to cancel and move to open ticket two weeks ago. I've just used it to get MCO for Xmas.

It is a substantive change so you will be entitled to a refund.

However, at a guess this is Virgin. They are pushing people to vouchers and if people persist to get a refund then they are getting put in a queue to get refunds in something like 90 days.

We are the same. Booked MAN-LAS flying 1st Aug.
Then looked on the Virgin app & it has changed to LHR-LAS. It would take us 5 hours to get their. We have booked via Travel Republic, we have sent them a message via Facebook & Twitter. We haven't heard from Travel Republic or Virgin about the change. Plus on the app it says we are flying 747. Which I know are no longer flying. So it is just a waiting game. We have received full refunds for 3 out of 4 things from Expedia. Waiting on Holiday Extras & Travel Republic.
