I am looking at doing the same, if BA Flights still go. We are booked 28/7, already cancelled our Disney POR yesterday. So will try and book a universal hotel instead and then Move on to our townhouse booking as planned and chill.

Depending on budget and number of people in your party I'd either book a villa for the remaining nights or try booking some accommodation in other parts of Florida and exploring. Can't beat the Gulf Coast imo and depending on how much driving you are prepared to do I'd also try to get down to the Keys (maybe via Naples).

Sounds like the start of a plan! 😀

We are wanting to book August next year and stop at Disney but I’m now tempted to stick to universal and maybe buy a Disney waterpark annual pass. I’m not wanting to spend loads on a Disney holiday if lots of restrictions but want to go back next year!

We have flights booked with BA on 20th Aug this year (booked last year) so cant get a refund if the flight goes ahead but can change the flight for 150 per person (there are 4 of us)

I have POFQ booked for the first 10 days so have requested a move with the ATD to Aug 2021 so just doing the Disney experience next year, maybe topped up with 4 days on I Drive.

This year on the 30th August we have 6 days in Cabana Bay and Universal Park tickets (mandatory masks are still a concern), followed by 5 days on Anna Maria Island.

The plan is (rather than potentially losing the flights) to amend the outgoing flight to the 30th August and carry on with the Universal and Gulf coast elements.

Its a work in progress!

I really feel for anyone that is having any park plans messed up but hopefully it will be a great opportunity for people to explore the rest of Florida. We love the parks but we've also had a great time seeing other parts of the State. I hope everyone that ends up deciding or feeling like they have to go has a great time!

I go solo and can't drive so seeing other parts of the state isn't an option for me. However Universal is and that's my plan B.

If you have 2 week tickets for universal I would stay at a cheaper hotel there
