June, because August and September can be unbearably humid... and wet weather galore..Last time we were there the last two weeks of August it tanked down worse than an Indian monsoon every day. No fun walking around in knee deep water in some places. For a country well set up to cope with snow the state of Florida still hasn’t got to grips with storm drains particularly in the tourist areas. When we were in AK it got that bad in the park we were wading to the bus stops to go back to the resorts after about a two hour wait for the rain to ease.. it didn’t ease all night and continued for another day and a half. Not enjoyable and footwear and clothing took days to dry back out. Good thing we took spare shoes and extra shorts and tops.
