Stay and Cruise

Hi Guys and Gals

Hope that you are well.

We are looking at a Stay and cruise package next August. I have not been able to get through to Disney unfortunately understand there are lots of callers with more pressing concerns than my potential holiday.

I can see that there is a deal for this year for £1100 per person based on 4 people sharing7 nights stay 3 night cruise. Is that a good deal?

Do people use Disney to book directly or is it better finding a travel agent?

Never done a cruise let alone a Disney one, is everything included or are ice creams and stuff additional?

Which hotel? Without knowing that it’s hard to assess whether it’s good value. What type of stateroom on the cruise? Does it include any transfers? Etc.

Do you have insurance?

Be sure to price it up separately for comparison, it was cheaper for me than doing a package. Especially if there's a free dining offer on.

Pretty much everything is included on a Disney cruise. You will pay extra for any alcohol, soft drinks at a bar or for room service but they're free from self serve machines & at dinner. There are tips to pay based on per person per night & there is free ice cream but also a sweet shop you can buy treats from.

The Disney Cruise line bus is not free with your booking like the magical express so either make sure it's included in your package or budget for it. We preferred hiring a car.

Usually DCL are paying rack rate for the hotel so a non-discounted price. Offers direct with the hotel are usually better. Now the reason I say usually is that if you are using future cruise credit from a cancelled cruise this might still be a worthwhile use depending on whether it suits your needs. I agree though price it up separately. All good tips on whats free and what isn't as well so make sure you factor in some of the costs there too.
