Have you had your Gatwick flight changed yet?

Is anyone having their booking moved from a Direct flight to an indirect flight? I saw a poster earlier say that their outbound flight was direct (LGW-MCO) but their return flight changed to indirect MCO-JFK-LHR.

My flights are still LGW but I don't go until next March. I booked a flydrive through Virgin Holidays. If I do a 'dummy' booking again my outbound flight still comes up as available (still LGW though). However the return flight is different (looks like there were two flights and it only shows the later one, I was on the earlier). If I do the same on Virgin Atlantic site there are no direct flights, all indirect.

No idea if I will be transferred onto either of the ones from LHR but strange that they are still selling seats - I hope that they would transfer existing bookings first then sell the remaining...although that would probably be far too sensible (that was sarcasm, please don't ban me!).

We have not had any communication for our flights in August, although I don't expect it to go ahead there is nothing direct on our dates. in fact I have checked a lot of dates for this year and cannot find anything direct. I checked for the time we normally go in March (12-26) and there are direct flights available from Heathrow to Orlando and return

Hi there,

They seem to still be offering Direct flights with Flydrive bookings (via Virgin Holidays) but if you search on Virgin Atlantic only indirect.

My head hurts from second guessing! I'll just wait.

Mines changed today just posted a separate post, leaving from Gatwick returning to Heathrow. Suspected this may happen as we fly on the 24th October and I saw a post on here that the changeover will be the 25th

Sorry I am probably misunderstanding, ours are just flights (not flydrive) through Virgin Atlantic, our August is no change at the moment, but there are direct flights on the Virgin Atlantic website available for March next year ?

Apologies for being confusing. When I look at my dates (24/3 - 10/4) on Virgin Holidays (Flydrive) it shows options of Direct flights (however just did another search and the return leg is only showing Indirect), on Virgin Atlantic (Flight only) there is no option for Direct flights. Unless I am completely missing something.

Hmm you are right, it seems a bit hit and miss then, I can book the dates I want, but not your dates - hopefully each week more will be added and it will sort itself out and they will add more flights
