Deposit Only Flights

I have provisionally booked hotels for Orlando and Boston next May on free cancellation as Quidco are doing 11% cashback for hotels.com. Is there any way I can book flights separately on a deposit only basis? Virgin Holidays let you book a flydrive but not for multi-city. Could a travel agent book this? There is no rush at the moment as my flights aren’t officially released for a few weeks but I cant find anywhere that does multi-city deposit only on flights (or flydrive). I don’t want to pay upfront for flights as I will be cancelling the holiday if things aren’t back to normal

I know some people have booked a flight and 1 nights accommodation at the airport (either outbound or inbound) and that has qualified as a ''package' with deposit' only.

There may be others.

Generally you can't book flight only with a deposit as it isn't dealt with in the same way as a "package which includes a flight + 1 other element such as car hire or an overnight hotel.

We booked the night before hotel at LHR with BA at the same time as booking the flights - this made the booking a package and we only had to pay a £300 deposit.

Ba’s create your own trip, if you’re wanting a flydrive will let you book deposit only. You can book the car hire for different lengths if required.

Thank you everyone, happy to book a flydrive but the issue seems to be a lot of sites dont let you do this when you are flying into one state and home from another

We always book flight only with kenwood travel as you only have to pay a deposit,

On BAs website, if you click the 'Flight and Car' option, then click 'Create Custom Trip' it should let you do this.
