I have emailed them about the statement:
“Florida recognizes license plates and parking permits displaying the international symbol of accessibility that has been issued by any state or foreign country. However, if the permit or plate does not display one of the international symbols of accessibility, visitors must obtain a state of Florida temporary disabled person parking permit. The temporary parking permit fee is $15.”

As our UK Blue badges hold that symbol, it would be nice to have a confirmation, if they respond, I will post it here.

I think the issue here is that the wheelchair symbol on UK blue badges is in a hologram rather than a plain printed version, and for some reason officials in Florida say they can’t see it clearly through the windscreen.
