We booked in June for April 17 and got EDI-JFK-MCO with AA for £480 each. I have noticed prices going up and down. Highest that route got to was £5800 for 4 but then it came down a few days later to £2400.

We've never flown indirect before but this year are going with Aer Lingus so its Gla-Dub-MCO. Swayed by great prices and the ability to go through customs etc in Dublin instead of Stateside.

Last year we booked GLA-LGW-MCO with British airways then fog hit Gatwick and we had to fly GLA-EWR. This time we are GLA-LGW staying overnight at Gatwick then fly to MCO all with BA. The prices have been so good no one else can compete.
Before BA we would fly with United GLA-EWR-MCO.
Negatives of LGW is the wait for the connecting flight to GLA on the return journey and back on Scottish soil in the afternoon with United your home first thing in the morning. However waiting to depart at Newark - Glasgow can be long (in our own experience) I've seen us on the Tarmac waiting around an hour to take off due to the airline missing its slot, MCO isn't as busy as EWR.

Last year we flew to gatwick from Edinburgh on the last evening flight, then flew to Orlando in the morning. On a though ticket with BA. Meant we got to stay in bed a little longer, I'd absolutely do it that way again.

Next year will be the first time we fly indirect. Always fly from manchester due to cost saving over scottish airport.

Flying 19/6/17 - 6/7/17 from Edinburgh - Gatwick - Orlando International then reverse. 3 adults and 1 teen (14yrs). All in £1511 which I thought is an excellent price for a summer flight

Hi, can I ask who you booked this flight through? I'm looking to price either GLA or EDI to MCO from 17/6/17-08/07 but waiting for 11 months out from my return date for the airline websites to open the window?

Thanks

If your not too far north it might be an idea to look at VA direct to MCO from MAN. We are in Ayrshire and thats what we always do.
