The trouble is the medical profession change their minds as often as I change my boxers!

Take aspirin its good for you. Don't take aspirin it's bad for you. Eat butter it's lower in chemicals. Don't eat butter it will kill you etc

It all depends on how much the Big Pharmacutical firms are paying at the time which drugs and advice gets touted!

Years ago a lot of the anti food advice (Butter, sugar, dairy etc) was sponsored by food manufacturers themselves .

Statins are another one, Dr's push them on everyone over a certain age and many aren't supposed to be taken over the age of 70.
Dr's are now pushing anti- depressants on women for the menopause.
It's all about the big money.

I take vitamin d after reading about Scots in particular needing them. Husband and I both started at the beginning of the year and see a definite difference. In particular I get up much easier in the morning. Mental health improved also. We buy Holland and Barratt in the penny sale as it is almost 3 times the dose of boots in one tablet and is nearer what I read the suggested dose is.

I use a Vit D spray. It’s great - one spray to the inside of your mouth daily. It’s meant to be absorbed more efficiently than a tablet. It’s quite cheap in price too; get it from amazon.

I take them separately not as a multi vitamin.
I do feel better and most of the symptoms are either gone or reduced so I will continue.
Please also see a doctor...

I was a bit of a self care guru til I had a heart attack and found out I should not have been taking iron for instance... (undiagnosed, but would have been diagnosable, hereditary haemochromatosis)

We take vitamin D and a multivitamin. I buy them in Lidl.
They’re really cheap.
DS has has probiotics too and they’re really expensive IMO

I'm a shift worker, days nights weekends, christmas, and it's rare for someone at work not to have a cold.
Took vit D over winter and didn't catch any of them, stopped 3 weeks ago thinking summer was here, and promptly caught the next cold that was going around, so back on them now all year!
