It’s looking great though!
I honestly can’t understand why any retailer would sell such fairly useless units!

Thank you Karen

That is very frustrating that the depth of the cupboards was not mentioned to you, especially if every other cupboard was the appropriate depth. We had this in our last kitchen and I ended up buying new plates. You may however (depending on the height of the units) be able to use a plate stacker. They would need customising to the correct depth but I would imagine your FIL could cut them down.

The tiles look fab and it is even more fortuitous that you can fit three across perfectly. Not long now, you must be getting excited to see an end in sight!
Thank you for that suggestion Michelle, that’s a great idea and I’ll look into getting one. God love Amazon!

My poor DH spent 4 days laying our laminate floor Monday to Thursday had to move all the furniture backwards and forwards by himself. As he is a London Cabbie and can’t earn any money at the moment he did it himself. Kitchen fitter came Friday did a little bit and left us without a sink in the kitchen over the weekend! He’s back tomorrow so hopefully I will have a sink.

All appliances delivered from AO today, went for a cheaper Beko fridge freezer and dishwasher as they are both integrated and won’t be seen splurged on a Bosh double oven and induction hob.

One of our wall cabinets has been built and just checked if I can get a plate in there, which I can. We had Howdens give us a quote and different depths were not mentioned to us either.

Love your tiles and the kitchen is looking better than mine at the moment, race you till Friday when I’m hoping mine will be finished. We will need to decide if we’re going to tile the walls round the work surfaces or splashback for the hob 🤔
