What puts you off hiring a villa?
With me it is too many plastic plants
My husband won't even look at a villa if it hasn't got an American fridge Anyone else got anything? |

Dated furniture
Cheap plastic pool chairs and tables Loads of ornaments, especially vases around the bathroom sinks etc. Personal stuff - we once stayed in a villa with loads of family photos everywhere, bedside units, walls etc. I don't like dark wood, especially kitchen units Chintzy patio window curtains... Just a few things 😉😁 |

Personally, if it has a pool, a relatively modern decor, WiFi and it's the right price everything else is immaterial. It's a place to sleep.

Won't go for one with no shade on the pool deck.
Those cheap white moulded plastic outdoor dining tables and chairs. Dreary bed linen. Amazing how many have nice looking master bedrooms but the others are decorated sludge. Any kind of throw over a sofa is a big no no. Edited at 06:27 PM. Reason: Clarification |

I don’t get the objection to plastic outdoor cups and plates, surely that’s wise if you have children ? I don’t think we have stayed in any villa that doesn’t have plastic crockery stored away. In fact we use it for crisps and snacks and the children are grown up .
We are quite picky about certain things but I don’t get the dislike for the plastic crockery as you don’t have to use it .
