New York hotel single person
Looking to book a solo trip to New York would like some advice on a suitable Hotel for a single female, within good distance of all the major attractions and shopping but not right in the centre so it's noisy if you get what I mean... not fussed about gyms spas etc but would like a decent on-site restaurant for breakfast etc.
I have asked various colleagues at work who have been and have got obviously various answers so your input will be appreciated thank you in advance |

The Library hotel has the most adorable single rooms with their own little library of books based on a theme, a terrace bar, free breakfast, free evening wine and cheese and free tea and coffee all day and a perfect location across from the library right between Grand Central and Times Square so you are a stone's throw from both with their respective subway stations but on a quieter street. Also has an attached restaurant.

What a fabulous place! Great suggestion.
Ali I don’t know the hotel but the location is great. I’ve been all over the place as a single woman for work (never NYC though sadly) but NYC feels very very safe to me and I wouldn’t hesitate going there on my own

SoHo Grand is a great safe hotel - does a great breakfast and their lounge/bars are chilled (and many travel their alone for art business s I would say very safe for a lone female) - walkable but away from Times Sq etc which is too much for me (busy, noisy and grim) and I prefer the old New York of SoHo/TriBecca
