Greek Islands in July

Disappointed that my favourite Greek Island Kefalonia who have virtually no COVID cases didn’t go green this week, but everything crossed for July 12th when we go 🤞. Jet2holidays seem to be really good in giving full refunds and not flying to amber countries, so we’ll change to September if July is a no go. Feel so sad for all the taverna owners on the Greek Islands who must be really struggling 😢 I know it’s only a holiday and there are much more important issues... but holidays are the main thing I look forward to every year when I’m getting up at 6am 5 days a week to go to work 😫

We went to Zante in 2019 & got really friendly with a restaurant owner where we ate at several nights during our holiday - we often talk about him & wonder how this has affected his business 😩😩 really hope you get to go in July 🙏🏻🙏🏻

We were due to go to Zante late July too but our flights just got cancelled and we’ve decided with much sadness to not try to find alternatives. We just feel the hassle of it all sorting tests and the risk of having to isolate due to either return rules or getting track and traced is too much.

our Rome flights for early July have been cancelled and our return flight back from Crete in middle of August is also cancelled bur going out is still ok. I have resigned myself to not going abroad and will be accepting vouchers to book for next year (these were from last year - I will get to use them one day!)

We’ve moved our July holiday to September and fingers crossed that everything will be a lot more settled by then 😫
