Anyone booking Portugal trips for this summer

I'm teetering on booking for Porto at the end of July. We should have gone for DH's birthday June 20 and it was reorganized again for April 21. Third time lucky maybe 🙂. Ive actually booked the Airbnb apartment with free cancellation up to the week before. It's the place we should have stayed in originally and it looks so nice I wanted the same place.
I can either get leave from work or do a swap of shifts and DH should be ok too.
The only thing making me hesitate booking easyJet flights is the PCR tests. I got carried away and nearly forgot about the costs of them. Maybe they will come down in cost or not be needed in another 10 weeks.
We wil both have had a second dose of the vaccine by the beginning of June

Following as we are thinking of a few days in Porto in July - we are both double vacc’d so I had hoped PCR might not be needed. Have you been before Judy? Is it good?

We booked flights a few weeks ago for august as they were really cheap. I’ve not booked seats or added baggage as plan to just wait and see what situation is by august . We are prepared just to forfeit the cost of the flights if decide against it nearer the time.
My husband and me will be fully vaccinated by then but kids won’t, and if it’s going to cost hundreds for tests we’ll not go. Most awkward being the one before flying home. Just doesn’t seem practical if WiFi is poor for a video link and what about people who don’t have that option on their phones 🤷

Yes, I went with our adult daughter in 2019. I really like Porto a lot and wanted DH and I to have a trip there. We've done Lisbon twice and like it there but Porto is a change and just as nice. Our Airbnb place has a lovely balcony and is near the river. The thought of sipping wine on the balcony and visiting the port houses is very tempting 😃

I can get easyJet flights for around £200 for both of us. We just take a carry on bag for short budget trips. If we still have to have tests it will make it expensive. Our Easyjet flights can be moved free of charge up to September I think

We just decided to take the gamble, although we are booked with Ryanair. They are offering £60 tests but even that will be nearly £500 plus whatever would need to sort pre departure coming back. Nothing seems to be mentioned for that on their website .
