Emergency Alert tests on android phones tomorrow

Our alerts have been changed from 14th june to 29th. We often get stuff sent to us in the post about the sirens going off as we live near AWE.
The sooner the better.

We were on a coach tour just North of Cheyenne when I saw a Tornado in the distance. I told the guide who said not to worry as they would get an alert if we were in danger. He had no sooner stopped speaking when every phone on the coach went off except ours - everyone else was American. Within 5 minutes we were off the CamAm highway and stood in a public shelter for an hour.

DH and I were in New York, it was our last morning and we were checking out of the hotel. It was chucking it down outside and I was stood in the lobby. Our flight was early evening. All of a sudden everyones phone went off, buzzing, mine too. I'd never heard of this system and at first didn't have a clue what was happening. When I looked at my phone it was a flood alert! Severe weather etc! DH and I decided to head straight to the airport incase we got stuck in New York, so headed sharpish to the subway, there was even water trickling along the tracks and rats running along in front of it! I had visions of the day after tomorrow Got the airport and had to sit for several hours, to be fair the rain was quite bad and flights were cancelled for about 4 hours in the afternoon, but ours was on time.

Just slightly different but in a well known Canary Wharf building on 1 occasion phones went off on every floor which was completely unheard of. Sadly repeated 4 years later.

DH had the alert today and one about a week ago. He was out but I heard his phone beeping from the kitchen . So in an emergency he'll have warning to save himself and we'll be left to perish (reminded me of the film Greenland )

My sons are ripping the absolute ≈≈≈≈ out of me as this didn't happen. I'm not warning them again and I hope they are absolutely shocked if it happens!
