December 2021 realistic views only
Hi all, booked to visit in December this year, want people’s genuine thoughts (with no prerequisites) on whether it’ll happen.
If you think it will or won’t I’ll value your opinion and won’t criticise you for it. |

If I can find decent flights we will be going, now had two trips cancelled, rebooked and cancelled again 9 times, getting a bit desperate for some florida sun and shopping. I also love December time over there so no hardship 😁

Interested in this as well. Logically we should be fine once a date for getting back into US is announced but too often I end up thinking of another possible problem, will Aer Lingus cancel flight, will travel agent survive, will we end up in a last minute winter lockdown.
I think though that once the flights start going positivity should increase and it should be more difficult to just stop everything again surely |

I also think December is going ahead.
I am starting to feel a tad confident September will be open to us. If so, going to try and sneak in a week at Universal |

I honestly don't know which is not what you want to hear! One day I think surely they'll have to make a move before the end of summer. Then other days, like today, there is just an avalanche of bad news throughout the day - Delta Plus variant, indoor dining may be delayed, EU say there will be an autumn surge if restrictions are lifted, Ryanair cancel more July flights (I'm in Ireland for context) that I just despair and wonder how on earth we get out of this and have meals out and holidays and celebrations again. Yesterday I read that the US had met with the EU and UK to prepare for reopening and I was getting excited for a February trip. It's such a roller coaster.
