Upgrading reward flights

We were hoping to use our miles to go upper class on our next trip.

Reward flights have become available but only in economy.

Before I book them I just wanted to check that I can upgrade them later if upper class ones become available? Has anyone does this?

Yes it�s no issue at all. I would recommend getting seatspy, they will alert you when available saves you checking every day.

Yes, you would just need to call the flying club number when you see upper available and pay the difference in taxes plus the extra miles
From memory the miles to pay maybe slightly more than the usual difference although someone else might correct me there
