DS age 13 has got a Samsung Galaxy A70. Decent price and great features. We bought it sim free from Argos. He is part of our BT family mobile plan. Didn't want to spend too much in case it's nicked during a PE lesson when blazer unsupervised.

My 13 yr old DS went from a Samsung to the Pixel (his dad's old one) and won't go back. His battery is starting to go and just wants the same again. Not the newer one though as reviews are poor.

When we looked there were some good deals with ID mobile

Our 13 year old has a Samsung S7 on PAYG with 3. Once she's ready to upgrade we will trade it in at CEx. Maybe worth a look? They have Apple phones in too. We find the PAYG Sims much better value as our daughter uses WiFi most of the time and rarely uses her credit - having a second hand phone means we are less worried about the phone being stolen or lost.
