Riviera resale
Interestingly just saw on a Facebook page someone has just resold a riviera contract at less than $130 a point.
The resale restrictions were what made me change my initial plans into buying there. I know we shouldn’t buy in planning on it being an investment but still it’s made me glad of my decision |

If true a very quick way to lose & third of your money before a Resort is even open!

Imagine what the price could be when they are coming up all the time. I would personally avoid Riviera, I couldn't take thinking I had literally thrown money away compared to buying something else... A lot of money.

Apparently is was marketed for $130 but went for under $130. Sold by Bee Thaxton who said it didnt sell close to the listed price. That is low for a brand new resort with only 1 contract on the market.
One broker openly says he thinks it will be sub 100 a point eventually.

Putting the cost to one side. Somebody made a very expensive and ill thought out decision. Sad.

I can see Disney wanting a lower resale price- they will buy it under ROFR flip it and sell it with whatever use year they want straight away, basically profiting from the points again and again.
I actually think very few will pass ROFR after the resort is sold out, Disney will keep on flipping the points.
