Mobile Waitlisting

Never had to wait list before but have just done so for January but my question is this:

I’ve waitlisted 2 nights but if one becomes available do I get that or do they wait until both nights are available?

Thanks in advance.

When I’ve waitlisted (twice) it has always booked the whole thing, but that was replacing a booking. Think it will be the same though.
Suggest also stalking- I had a BLT on waitlist and the room became available, the waitlist had not filled (runs twice a day I heard), so I just booked it and cancelled the waitlist.

I have been stalking at least once a day! It’s in the lead up to marathon weekend so realistically I’m expecting it not to happen until much closer to the event if at all.

Is it in the lead up, or over the weekend

Sorry, let me clarify why I’m asking.

For RunDisney weekends you pay in full for the races in advance. You do not get a refund for cancellations. This means people are very very unlikely to cancel their trips unless it’s absolutely unavoidable (illness etc).

The cost can be significant. It will vary depending on how many people are racing, but as an example when we participated in marathon weekend 2017 we had three of us running all four races, and one just running two. We would have lost $3000 in race fees if we’d not arrived, therefore I would speculate that cancellations are much much less likely than a regular DVC booking,

Jeez, I had no idea it was so expensive to participate in a run!

Yes, it’s the best part of $700 to do the Dopey Challenge! (Maybe more now as we’ve not done it for a few years!)

Wow, that's expensive!

It's the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night's we are missing - the Thursday is the 5k, Friday 10k and Saturday half marathon - not bothered about Friday really as we are going to Tamps for a cruise on Saturday so would just go a day earlier.

It will only fill your waitlist request if the full period becomes available. It won't fill individual days. You are allowed to have two waitlists though so if you are prepared to only get one night you can set up two separate waitlists for each night.

If I was a betting woman I’d say your chance of Friday is close to non existent.

Thursday more likely to be lucky (though not certain). Weds I’d think will come through, fingers crossed.
