remember the Spar type shop at the railway station also is relatively reasonable price wise for drinks and snacks / sandwiches.

We went in McDonald's out of curiosity last month and the whole place smelt of vomit; which made us feel really queasy so we were in and out in minutes!

There are 10 of us going in February and we will all be on a budget too. Because I am going to Orlando in Dec (hence the reason for budget ) I am still in Orlando planning mode and haven't gotten into DLP at all. Will definitely try out the Earl of Sandwich and I'm sure we'll make at least 1 visit to McD's.

Thanks for the tip! EOS is going to be a winner though at just 5.50 per sandwich!
Can't wait for the popcorn! That's what we loved last year! Didn't get a brioche but will do that too!
Whilst you are right there are not counter service places there are some good buffet at decent prices.

My best tip is to make full use of your free breakfast! We always do and tend not to bother with lunch, just a Mickey brioche maybe. Or share a CS lunch. We liked Colonel Hathi's 'Menu 2' - pizza, salad, drink and ice cream for about 12 Euros and it fed two adults.
Agree with this - plenty for two! We also enjoyed EOS on our recent budget trip. Also plenty in the Hakuna Matata and Fuente del Oro set menus.

Also, don't forget to check your receipts (from places in the parks) for free hot drinks offers for the afternoon. In Colonel Hathi's the person in front of me just left theirs on the counter when they left, so I made use of it...! (is that wrong?!)

I've heard a lot of good things about the Hakuna Matata restaurant - what kind of things are on the set menu and roughly how much is a set meal? Thanks

If so, we'll be there at the same time!

I actually think the Pizza Planet buffet is quite expensive as the other buffets on property are 25E and seem to get better reviews, seem better value
Sounds like we've got the same plan really! Cheap cheap! Like I said it's a budget trip as we're not really supposed to be going! Oops!
We'll be there at the same time as you too, 20th-23rd. We were there at the same time last year and Pizza Planet was closed during the whole visit because of it being "low" season. It was definitely low season last year as we didn't have to queue for anything (except Crush's Coaster).
