Esta - has something gone wrong?

I applied for our Estas late last night for family of 4, woke up this morning to see emails received just before midnight saying status has changed, but when I log on they are are just showing authorisation pending.
It says on the website that they will only take the full fee when they have been authorised and not pending but the full fee was taken last night.
Can’t help but worry about it, it seems like something has gone wrong. We’ve all had Estas before so I’m pretty sure I did everything correctly, never had a wait like this before.

Has this happened to anyone else or has anyone ever had to give them a call before, or should I just wait the 72 hours and see if it changes.

Maybe because everyone is rushing to get them done today before the price increase, that could explain it.

I was hoping it was that but our friends applied at the same time and theirs was authorised within the hour. Mine has been 17 hours now. I don’t usually worry about these things but I’m nervous now!

Yes I’ve checked my bank and the money went on 25th which was yesterday.

If you done it as a group try logging in individually for all the ESTAs see if they have changed?
