Are they? I thought most were open by now?

We have paid for the DDP in the past and got excellent value from it, as we tend to do a lot of Signatures, and max out our snack credits at Food and Wine. We’ve done a ‘dummy plan’ of what we might eat, and it comes up way more expensive than the DDP.

I know ‘free’ DDP is unlikely but I am still hoping the paid-for version makes a reappearance at some point.

I think there’s less than a dozen places not reopened & some of those are food carts or seasonal places like Tomorrowland Terrace. I’m guessing the restaurants that had character meals & are currently closed (Akershus, for example) will reopen once the character meet & greets are back to normal. I imagine the main issue is supply chain issues re: food & some places that are open are not running at full capacity.

A friend was at WDW last month & the CMs they talked to seemed to think an announcement regarding the return of the DDP would be sooner rather than later.

Honestly I don't have that long to wait! Outside chance of '24 if US economy tanks like predicted but before then I'd expect another round of Dining Credits certainly paid for won't return until US inflation has stalled as you can't put a price of food that would literally be out of date before the ink dried.

Well if the dining plan isn’t going to be back till 2024 at the earliest Disney really should have emphasised the “later” in the “dining plan will be back at a later date”

Waiting…. May tempt us to look at next year if it’s back. Otherwise expect it may be 2024 for us next.
