I actually use a travel money belt on holiday (regardless of whether I have a backpack or handbag), all cards and spare cash goes in there while travelling.
I think some backpacks have zips that you can fit a lock through so that could be a potential option too. Alternatively some backpacks also have a lot of internal compartments and zips and all that are a bit harder to access.

My bag is from Amazon, backpack handbag. Its a million times better as I was in so much pain using a one shoulder handbag.

If worried about security try PacSafe. I have cross body bags and a backpack from them. Lots of security features but the bags still look good.

I've been using backpacks everywhere for years. I like the Loungefly ones for every day. I always put a packet of crisps or small noisy plastic bag on top of everything else. That way if someone does try to get into it I'll hear them.

My one zips up length ways on the side that sits against your back.

I think I’m going to try a bumbag this time when we go in May. We’ve got a hype and vans one here so we don’t need to buy one and my shoulders and upper back have really started to play up over the last couple of years. I think it’s a combination of years of shoulder/cross body bags, lifting patients at work and stress and anxiety to be honest!

I’ve just ordered this one
amazon/dp/B09MYCZ4...2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1 For the same reason as others have said and I have just had spinal surgery - still need to carry my bits and bobs

My friend bought this one for the trip she came on with us and loved it.
johnlewis/longchamp-...k/red/p5051115 I’ve ordered a Harvey’s Disney one last month that I got sent to Angelbabe. They bring them out every so often but they sell out. It was a streamline convertible messenger. I have a bum bag for universal. It was from jujube, it’s fab, a Harry Potter flying keys one, they often bring out collaborations and are really well made.
