Tesco worked out by far the cheapest, £30pp when everywhere else seemingly wanted £70+! Thought there might be some kind of catch but having read through the terms carefully there doesn't seem to be any.

I currently get mine via the halifax ultimate reward package. Its £17 a month but i get £5 back. so for £144 I get travel insurance plus AA cover and a couple of other things. I used to have Nationwide , but was offered money to switch so its actually costing about £19 for a years worth of coverage.

We use the Nationwide Flex+ insurance. £13/month plus medicals.
It was half the price of any other quote we got and for generally better cover.

We opened the account just to get the travel insurance. But it also includes mobile phone insurance and breakdown cover.

Always remember to check the covid cover of you are worried about this. Some policies exclude or have limited cover. I recently read one that didn't cover hotel/tickets etc if your flight was cancelled due to staff shortages due to covid
