Back today, highs and lows.

Haven’t seen these on here for a while but thought I’d post while it’s fresh in my mind, on a boring journey home. No Disney or Universal tickets, just DC/Seaworld.

Highs.
Discovery Cove (non swim)
Only really added this to seaworld tickets as it wasn’t much more.
Loved the whole day, it went so quickly and we got our moneys worth in food and drinks. Guests were leaving and we were stocking up at the bar. 🤣

New York
Oh booked a one night stay here about half way through the holiday. We took one back pack, payed extra for a central hotel and had very early flights out.
Didn’t expect to enjoy this so much, highlights of the trip were The Ride and One World Observatory.
Plus it was brilliant coming back to Orlando and a few extra days holiday.

Disney MK fireworks at Polynesian beach.
Wanted to do something special for my mums first heavenly birthday, after tips from dibbers, this was the plan. Originally hoped to be there 15th May but it closed to the pubic, so went on 14th. It was midnight in the UK so had a toast to her. Luckily I found out before we left and it really worked out better for us as a huge storm arrived in 15th.
It’s a perfect place to watch the show and even managed to get the lovely chairs, you can take a towel though and still have a great evening.

Bahama Breeze
Have been there for cocktails before, this was the first time for food. Was all so good and will make it a must do from now on.

Being brave
I know I’m a wuss, I hate heights, lifts and big rides but I really pushed myself this holiday.
Went on every terrifying ride at seaworld, in the grand reef at DC with my prescription goggles, TOTR, One World and the Orlando wheel. I didn’t want to come home and regret stuff I didn’t do.

Uber
First time we used this, easy and didn’t have to wait long.

Lows
The run up to the holiday
As everyone is experiencing is not fun. When oh added New York I had to start planing but the worry of not being able to go the day before, then the tests, documents not uploading made it so stressful.

Last minute.com
Oh booked New York as a package with them. They changed our flights so we asked for the earlier one instead of early afternoon, which we had to pay extra for.
They knew in March the early flight was full but emailed this information while we were on the way to the airport. Thank goodness a brilliant Spirit Airlines lady sorted it out for us. If it wasn’t for her we wouldn’t have made it as the next flight left at 11.20am rather than 5am.
They will never get another penny off us.

I trolleys
The first time we went (also had a car but used these as well) they were spot on.
Last time was hit or miss but never really waited more than 20 minutes. This time they were pretty bad, some days we were lucky but others a 40 minute wait. We would still get a ticket next time but would use more Uber and lynx buses.

Other little things, ran out of time to visit aquatica, we did so much so I can’t complain. Plus the megacon convention really made the traffic horrific the weekend we had planned to visit. I did love seeing everyone in costume though.
Weather was so hot, in the 30s some days. I wasn’t so keen on this, we still walked 20000 steps + everyday and just became a sweaty mess.
We had 3 storms in the evening, didn’t interfere with our plans though and enjoyed watching them. Heavy rain only lasted an hour or so.
We did very well at the outlets, didn’t find shopping prices increased too much.
We found and drink has increased a little and every restaurant/fast food are looking for staff.
If anyone has any questions I will do my best to answer them.
Trip report will hopefully be started this week.

We took $1000 for the both of us for food and drink, we did spend about another $300 which includes tipping (shopping was separate)
You can still get happy hour deals, just not as many.
Senior frogs have all you can eat taco Tuesday, chillis still have set menu prices as well.
I think we had a good mix of fast food (well Taco Bell) and restaurant meals.
