Poseidon's Fury Reopens

I realise that most other people don't really care about this but, after being closed for just over 18 months, Poseidon's Fury at Islands of Adventure has finally reopened.

The story and the attraction are still the same as before, but projections and effects now look somewhat brighter and surfaces have been given a new coat of paint. Sadly Universal didn't choose to revert the attraction back to the original story where the guide turned out to be Zeus in disguise and fought Poseidon in the final room. But it's good to see the attraction back up and running.

I quite like Poseidon, it’s a nice escape from the heat and humidity, glad it’s reopened

The only way this news could be bettered for me for our WDW trip is:
  • Fantasmic opens before May 7th
  • America remove the requirement for LFT the day before travel
  • Rise of the Resistance suddenly becomes much more accessible

Anything I'm missing?

One attraction I didn't miss, for sure - did it once and never again. But happy for its fans

Allowed to hug characters?

More restaurants open?

Disney makes Genie+ free?

This broke down when we were half way through in 2019, had to exit through the emergency exits, and it didn't come back up for the rest of the day.

The first couple of times I experienced it just after IoA opened I thought it was amazing. Even the earlier bits before the water tunnel seemed pretty impressive back then.

The last time I experienced it it didn't seem quite as good. I still enjoyed it but mainly for the water tunnel and the final fight. But it didn't seem as impressive as I remembered.

Times change. The first time we visited Epcot, I thought the touch screen interactive stuff in Innoventions were impressive. Nowadays I have a touch screen in my pocket and use one every day.

That was probably more exciting than the attraction itself
