Sun cream recommendations

Hi,

It is 11 weeks until my Orlando trip and I am now starting to get organised. Can anyone recommend a high spf suncream that is easy to apply but also effective? We have used a few and they are either easy to apply but useless after a short time or are like applying semi dry concrete.

I have young kids so it needs to be factor 50.

Thanks

I have always used the M&S SUN SMART sensitive sun cream SPF 30 & SPF 50 plus the sun block for lips. My daughter suffers from prickly heat, so she wears the SPF 30 so it doesn't block her pores. Obviously re-applying when needed and especially after being in the water/pool etc. It's always worked for us.

Ultrasun sensitive SPF 30 and they do a SPF 50.
Once a day application unless swimming etc
Never got prickly heat back once I started using this.
No staining of clothes either 🙂

We’ve used Asda own brand for years. I use the F50 cream on water park/pool days. The F30 clear aerosol spray on a park day. The spray comes in F50 as well but manual not aerosol. It’s 5* which is as important as factor.

A few years back I moved to the aerosol ones and it’s a game changer.

This. Love Ultrasun, I always keep an eye out on QVC for one of their TSV’s.

Sitting in the garden, you can’t go wrong with Aldi’s own brand. Spray lotion and isn’t sticky at all, usually go for SPF30

I use the amber Solaire anti sand sensitive aerosol spray on the kids which is a factor 50, my youngest is 14 and pale, he burnt really badly in Lanzarote a few years ago but since found this and he hasn’t burned once. My dd is 16 and tans like me but she still uses it as has sensitive skin which reacts to some creams. Dh & I get ours from Walmart when we get there and get for Coppertone sport aerosol sprays in a 30 & 50. So easy to apply. We tried ultrasun on our first Florida trip but you’re always so sweaty, I found it hard to spread on us!

I’m very pale skinned, I don’t tend to tan just burn and then get more freckles. After reading all the recommendations on The DIBB I swapped to Ultrasun (F50). It was brilliant, even in the scorching August heat I didn’t burn at all. My shoulders were even cool to the touch. Plus it didn’t stain my clothes. I’d highly recommend it.

We're Ultrasun spf 50 fans too as we're pale skinned burners, apart from DH. For swimming we use P20 soft 50 though as it's oil based so doesn't wash off easily. I don't use it with clothes though as the oil itself is yellow and stains badly, but no staining with Unltrasun
