Will Free Dining Come back as offer in 2024 or beyond
Posting out of curiosity to see what everyone thinks?
I have been watching some You Tube vlogs and some vloggers said that the paid for dining plan will come back eventually. I know that the newest offer due out next week for 2023 will be dining credit but in comparison it is not really the same from what I have heard. I am just wondering if the paid for dining plan comes back in 2023/24 would they still offer only credit? I was only really interested in the quick service one anyways as I didn't like the idea of being constrained to specific times in the day for food. Sorry if this has been discussed already since this new offer has come out. To me doesn't feel that these new offers are that great. The last offer I saw (couldn't book) was for last year going this year with 4 nights free and it was reducing the price dramatically. It probably won't come back but here's wishful thinking from me |

Quite a few threads on this already but my view is that it’s gone for good unless Disney have trouble attracting new visitors which is unlikely. Dining Credits will be the offer for UK guests for a while I think.
Maybe and just a maybe perhaps they offer a better incentive when Universal Epic Universe opens up to tempt people to stay onsite rather than Universal.

I don’t think so but it’s hard to predict when paid for DDP hasn’t even come back yet.

Like others I wouldn't think so, a lot is going to depend on how well this years Dining Credit goes, & just by reading posts on here I'm not sure it's dropping off. Therefore no reason to offer Free Dining, especially when the credit offer saves them a fortune! For us I couldn't really justify the cost of a Disney Deluxe for the Credit offer $1200 versus 21 days DDP, for 2 of us is approx -$2000 & on a family of 4 it's -$5000 Not to mention the approx £500/night to stay

I think it’s gone for good too.
Best case would be dining credits but I wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually changes to free Genie+ |

Whilst they're still filling their hotels I can't see why they would.
If the dining credits offer was of the same value as previous free DDP offers, then I'd think it would, but as it is, the dining credits offer is *much* lower. The dining credits is also a fixed amount for them - total per room regardless of how many people. Free DDP could be for 1 or 4/5 (or even 9 people in SSR/OKW potentially), so a huge variation in cost.

If it does (and highly unlikely) then Disney will hike up other prices such as accommodation and entrance tickets to cover the “free” element

People do say this but I’ve never found it to be true.
There is sometimes the normal price fluctuations but the 4 times I’ve had free dining the price has never been more than say 100 or so pounds more , I know that as I used to take screens shots at various times before the deals would come out so I could compare. |

Just to add, depending on whether you believe that the Disney "Spokesperson" mis-spoke about charging for Mousekeeping or not There's no way they are giving anything away for free!
