We went last year and even though it was running on “reduced numbers” last time it was so crazy busy we were only there for about 3 hours.
Queues for food are long, seats are hard to come by and it’s just generally manic and super expensive.
I’d get your lunch as early as possible as by 1pm the grass is covered by cocktail swiggers and you’ll find it hard to get a space.

I’d highly recommend that!😅
A small cup of pimms was £9!
Not really, I mean some do, lots of floral prints everywhere but wasn’t quite how I expected.
Think that’s only people who have booked the posh restaurants like the Marco Pierre white pop up.

Some do - as a Buckingham Palace garden party. I just wore comfy shoes, layers of clothing in case it got hot. I didn’t drink a lot because there’s long queues for the ladies’ loos 😱.

Travel light - large handbags, shoppers etc get in the way when getting through crowds.

It’s a fab day out but very tiring.

Google Chelsea cough and the Plane trees ! It was really bad went we went. If I was going I would be taking a face mask just in case (not for covid though, purely to block some of the pollen, just to add I don't get hayfever but found this pollen really irritating and it spolit the day a little).

I guess it just depends on the weather and the exact time when the pollen drops, I remember Monty and Joe talking about it the year we went.

It will be rammed and yes many of us dress for the occasion . It is wonderful tho and as a member of RHS it’s well worth going for sure - the London plane trees are in full force at the moment in Clapham - we all have the plane bark

Do you prefer Chelsea or Hampton Court.
