Question re Genie+ - booking second ride

My original understanding of Genie+ was that you could book a ride from 7am and then book a second either when you've tapped into the first ride or two hours after park opening. So I could book a ride for 9.30am for example and then book the next ride when we tap in and not have to wait for 11am or whenever.

However, I think I read some comments on here suggesting that wasn't possible anymore and you have to wait two hours after each booking (or park opening) regardless of your first ride time.

Can anyone who has been recently confirm which is correct?

Im pretty sure you can book your next ride once you have tapped in to the second check point in the line.

Otherwise its 2 hours from your last booking/Park opening.

Say you book your first LL for 2pm at 7am and park opens at 9am you can book one a 11am and then 2 hours from then so 1pm.

As you should be able to stack them.

Or if you book your first ride at 7am for 9:30. You can book your next ride once you have tapped in and then the 120 min rule only kicks in. If you next booking is over 2 hours away.

I could be completely wrong and will have to rethink my strategy !

It's definitely after you've tapped in for your ride, or 2 hours, whichever comes first.

If stacking rides for an evening, it can throw things off, but if you're just using them as you go, then you can do it after you've tapped in and don't have to wait 2 hours.

Just come back, if you book at 7am, you can book again when you tap into that first ride. The other option is two hours AFTER park opening. For example, if you book a ride for 12.30pm at 7am, you won't be able to book another until 11am if Magic Kingdom opens at 9am for example. Just come back and got caught out by this, so if booking a popular ride in afternoon like slinky dog as that's the earliest you can get, be aware you won't be able to book another until 2 hours after park opening, not including early magic hours.

I think what you may have read is that Disney changed things so that you now have to tap into the ride that you last booked in order to make another booking otherwise you have to wait 2 hours. It used to be that you could make another booking after you tapped into any previous booking and not necessarily the last booking you made. This little "feature" only really applied when stacking.

As the others have said, if your first booking has a return time of 9:30am and you tap into that ride at 9:30am, then you'll be able to book another one just afterwards. You don't have to wait 2 hours after park opening in this case.

Are all bookings on the day OR can you book rides in advance? eg like fastpass plus?

We are staying onsite and managed to get through to WDTC and added on genie plus. I think she said it'd show up 30 days before checkin date.

Does that mean I can start reserving rides then too?

Finding it all quite confusing.

No, you can’t reserve rides beforehand. You can only reserve rides on the day from 7am onwards. That’s always been the case with Genie+ for everyone.

Thanks.

Just need to get my head around this now as I'll have 2 ult tix with genie plus and will also be buying 2 magic tix too (no genie plus) as no AP's available to purchase.
Wish i'd booked them earlier with ATD (child price and lots of extras) OR a few weeks ago with WDTC offer of $50 credit. Blast
