Hagrids motorbike adventure - scary ?
Can anyone please tell me what this compares too ?
I really don’t like rollercoasters & my top limit is SDMT & BTM...I’m hoping it’s more of a ‘tame’ ride like these ? Plllllllease be honest ! |

It's about the same intensity as Expedition Everest. It feels a lot faster than BTM. I'd highly recommend it. I've never been the biggest fan of thrill rides but Hagrid's is just awesome.

I felt like it was similar to 7DMT and BTM in intensity, though it does have a surprise element at one point (nothing too intense, just that I really wasn't expecting it so did get a bit surprised/shocked when it happened).

To me it is far more intense than 7DMT or Slinky Dog especially if you are sitting in the front. My Mum goes on those but doesn't go on BTMR any more and has never been on Everest or RRR. DDs and I think she would like Hagrid's in theory but it probably is just a bit too much for her.
The first time I went on it felt the most intense because there are a number of surprising elements. It is a fantastic ride though and not really comparable to anything else.

Not at all scary but it’s as much a ride through Hagrids world as it is a coaster. It’s definitely worth doing and a mixture of Slinky, Everest (though not as intense) and 13 at Alton Towers. A good ride which, if you can persuade yourself to go on, I think you’ll love.

It's fast but comparatively flat: no big drops. I'd say less intense than Everest. But if you're worried then don't sit at the front. I'd say go for it, my nervous 7 year old loved it.

It has the acceleration of slinky but does it more times. It does not have big elevations but the bends do bank a fair bit. At the back is less intense due to one of the features of the ride. Also the experience is different in the sidecar to on the bike, so if not sure go in the sidecar first time.
If you want to see some of the ride take a look at this video showing some of the track, or once in the park walk in the exit and there is a small viewing area |

Can I just ask, are there any bits that drop straight down? It’s difficult to explain but my son has an eye condition that means we have to be a bit careful. He can’t do TOT for example and we don’t do upside down but it’s the vertical drop potential I’m wondering about? I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so if you want to pm then that would be great 🙂
