We were originally flying from Manchester via Philadelphia. Now that flight has been pulled, BA have rerouted us via Gatwick. Does anyone know if our luggage will be checked through from Man to MCO? and will we have to do security at Gatwick? Thanks

Yes it will be checked through to MCO. When we fly down from Edinburgh or Glasgow and our luggage is always checked right through. Unless something has changed at Gatwick you will need to clear security again there.

Check the flight details, as far as I am aware there is no BA flight from Manchester to Gatwick (they stopped around 2015). Normally they will do Manchester to Heathrow then you make your own way to Gatwick with your luggage and this is why I don look at BA anymore.

BA are re-introducing a limited MAN-LGW service from 28 March 2021.

We've just switched onto the MAN-Heathrow (was originally on the Phili flight too) and was wondering the same. Very handy if we can just forget about the luggage until MCO.
