We did the Western Caribbean route out of Miami in Nov (Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Labadee) ~ amazing! We used Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas and booked through Cruise.co.uk as we couldn't find anyone who could beat their price.
It is definately worth your while shopping around for Cruises as we have booked for Alaska and we used Cruise Compete. The UK companies were a lot more expensive than the US ones as the dollar is so poor at the moment... Just got this email in which may help you... I'd like to start off today with a great deal for parents looking for a terrific family vacation this summer--at an incredibly low price! NCL has just announced that it is bringing the Norwegian Sky to the Bahamas on July 14. Normally a cruise line would announce its itineraries more than a year in advance of sailing to allow time to fill the ship. In this case, itineraries and prices were just announced for sailings that depart in the next two to six months, which means there is no way other than huge discounts to fill the ship. It's a dream situation for anyone looking for a short cruise anytime from July to September. The Norwegian Sky has been sailing as the Pride of Aloha, and was slated to be transferred to NCL's parent-company, Star Cruises, this summer. Fortunately for bargain hunters, plans have changed, and NCL will keep the ship and reintroduce it after a time in wet dock, where it will receive a casino and other onboard enhancements. Beginning in July, the ship will sail 3- and 4-day cruises from Miami to Nassau and NCL's private island, Great Stirrup Cay. Prices start at just $229 per person for 3-day cruises and $249 per person for 4-day cruises. Plus, if you book by May 31 and cruise between July 14 and September 29, children between the ages of 6 months and 17 years cruise for FREE! Government taxes and fees and the fuel surcharge must still be paid for all passengers. For a list of Norwegian Sky sailings eligible for the "kids sail free" promotion, click here
