Mobile table service on arrival day

Hi
We wil roughly be aiming to get to our resort for 4.30 pm with a 11 and an 8 year old. Would we be up for going for a table service meal at Disney springs or is it a matter of grab a bite and sleep? X

Going on past experience i would probably do a quick service meal as flights get delayed and you don't want to be stressing about changing a booking. Although we weren't shattered when we arrived, just very excited i'm not sure we would have wanted a table service meal.

From our experience, I would say no. Our 2 are older now (13 and 15), but we're so exhausted after a long travel day that the last thing we want to do is sit down for a full TS meal. 4.30pm will be 9.30pm body clock time, so by the time you get to a restaurant, it will be even later. I've read countless reports of children falling asleep during meals and people just not enjoying them as they're tired. We find it much better to just get a quick bite and explore the resort a bit before crashing out of the night. Much better to save TS meals for when everyone is awake and can enjoy them

Which resort are you staying at?

Even when we've arrived in the US early in the day, we've never felt like going for a sit down meal. Usually I unpack in a blurry state of tiredness. DS will watch some TV. DH will order a pizza to the apartment. We'll eat, shower and get ourselves to bed. We are way too tired to contemplate going out...I'm sure some people can do it though.

Another one in the no camp. I was absolutely exhausted by the time we arrived at Disney on our last trip, all we managed was to unpack and grab a quick bite at the food court before collapsing into bed. Hats off to anyone that manages a park on travel day!

Decision made..I am worrying too many nice places to eat and not much time. I'm sure that a good sleep and a quick.bite will get us in better moods for the day after tho. X

A QS meal is best I've found as we're all just too tired for much else! The next morning you'll all be raring to go and more able to appreciate a sit down meal
