Hi,

I am planning on using Uber a lot when we go in September, just a quick question, as the fare is already decided when ordering, and it comes off a credit card, are you expected to tip the driver, I'm trying to get my head around who to and not to tip, and normally in a taxi I would just leave any change from the fare as a tip.

Thanks

Worked out great as PayPal converted the fare from $ to £ (at a good rate too) so it came out my bank account in £.

If you google uber estimate Orlando you can put in your journey's and get a rough idea of the cost. Looking just now it is saying $7-10 for your journey to Chef Mickey's.

It used to be that the driver just wanted you to give them 5 star rating on the app after the journey but now when you have completed you journey the app gives you the option to add a tip to the total cost if you want to. I asked the driver if they wanted the tip in cash or through the app and the driver said he would rather have cash so just gave him £2.

The app works the same for the UK and the US. So if you have the uber app here it will work the same in america. Just make sure of course that you can use your data out there without getting charged an arm and a leg!

Hope that helps
Thanks will double check that -

Thanks to everyone that replied, think I’m up to date now, just need to download the app in advance of us going.

Hi. I read the Uber sticky on here today and it says Uber are not allowed to pick up from the airport but can drop you off there no problem. Just don’t want to see you stranded on arrival!
