Picking up rental car when named driver is absent ?

Anyone got any experience of this ?

It's looking increasingly likely that I won't be able to go on our upcoming trip.

DH and DDs will probably go without me but the hire car in in my name.

BA won't let me change the lead driver without re-pricing the whole package so just wondering what would happen if DH just shows up at the Avis desk ?

I'll confess to not being 100% sure but I think the lead driver has to be present. Check with avis maybe to be sure?

Same comment from me. Can you live chat them? If they say yes print off the live chat as proof.
